Threaded rods include extension rods, light extension rods, drill rods, M-F rods, etc. The threaded rods are characterized in that shank adaptors, drill rods, couplings and bits can be connected into one rock drilling group through threads on the bodies of the rods. The basic requirements of the rock drilling group to connecting threads include tight connect, high power transmission efficiency, good wear resistance, convenient disassemble and so on. Currently, commonly used threads include two kinds of T-thread and R-thread, and compounded threads are barely used.
Most foreign rock drilling companies manufacture threaded hex rods of B25mm, B28mm, B32mm, B38mm and B45mm, and round rods of D32mm, D38mm, D45mm and D51mm.
